ZONA DE DESENVOLVIMENTO PROXIMAL COMO UM QUATÉRNIO PARA SIGNIFICAÇÕES: POSSIBILIDADES PARA ANÁLISE DE VÍDEO

Neste texto são explorados aspectos acerca do conceito de zona de desenvolvimento proximal (ZDP). Inicialmente, apresenta-se uma visão geral sobre a perspectiva sociocultural dos processos psicológicos. Em seguida, discute-se algumas definições de ZDP e problemáticas envolvendo traduções de textos que apresentam essas definições. Nesse contexto, são enfatizados o modo como são tratados os verbetes atual, real e potencial e um quadro teórico denominado quatérnio ontológico. Esse quatérnio é um modo de se conceber as relações envolvendo o possível, o real, o atual e o virtual. Essa perspectiva é utilizada para produzir significados sobre um arquivo em formato de vídeo digital. Especificamente, analisamos uma cena de um episódio da série Jornadas nas Estrelas, na qual o comandante Data cria os hologramas de Newton, Einstein e Hawking para uma partida de poker. O modelo ora proposto poderá servir como base para análise de diálogos (registrados digitalmente) ocorridos em ambientes educacionais. Este texto, portanto, explicita olhar alternativo ao conceito de ZDP e possibilidade analítica para a produção de significados sobre informações contidas em textos filmográficos

Automatic identification of charcoal origin based on deep learning

The differentiation between the charcoal produced from (Eucalyptus) plantations and native forests is essential to control, commercialization, and supervision of its production in Brazil. The main contribution of this study is to identify the charcoal origin using macroscopic images and Deep Learning Algorithm. We applied a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) using VGG-16 architecture, with preprocessing based on contrast enhancement and data augmentation with rotation over the training set images. on the performance of the CNN with fine-tuning using 360 macroscopic charcoal images from the plantation and native forests. The results pointed out that our method provides new perspectives to identify the charcoal origin, achieving results upper 95 % of mean accuracy to classify charcoal from native forests for all compared preprocessing strategies

Culturable bacteria associated with Anopheles darlingi and their paratransgenesis potential

Background Malaria remains a major public health problem in South America, mostly in the Amazon region. Among newly proposed ways of controlling malaria transmission to humans, paratransgenesis is a promising alternative. Paratransgenesis aims to inhibit the development of parasites within the vector through the action of genetically modified bacteria. The first step towards successful paratransgenesis in the Amazon is the identification of Anopheles darlingi symbiotic bacteria, which are transmitted vertically among mosquitoes, and are not pathogenic to humans. Methods Culturable bacteria associated with An. darlingi and their breeding sites were isolated by conventional microbiological techniques. Isolated strains were transformed with a GFP expressing plasmid, pSPT-1-GFP, and reintroduced in mosquitoes by feeding. Their survival and persistence in the next generation was assessed by the isolation of fluorescent bacteria from eggs, larvae, pupae and adult homogenates. Results A total of 179 bacterial strains were isolated from samples from two locations, Coari and Manaus. The predominant genera identified in this study were Acinetobacter, Enterobacter, Klebsiella, Serratia, Bacillus, Elizabethkingia, Stenotrophomonas and Pantoea. Two isolated strains, Serratia-Adu40 and Pantoea-Ovo3, were successfully transformed with the pSPT-1-GFP plasmid and expressed GFP. The fluorescent bacteria fed to adult females were transferred to their eggs, which persisted in larvae and throughout metamorphosis, and were detected in adult mosquitoes of the next generation. Conclusion Serratia-Adu40 and Pantoea-Ovo3 are promising candidates for paratransgenesis in An. darlingi. Further research is needed to determine if these bacteria are vertically transferred in nature

Prevalence Of Maxillary Sinus Jaw Mucuous Cysts In University Dental Radiology Service

Background: Mucosal cyst of the maxillary sinus or antral pseudocyst is one of great importance injury, being the pathology that affects more the maxillary sinus. Their discovery, in most cases, it is for the interpretation of the images in routine panoramic radiography. Aims: The research aimed to evaluate the prevalence of mucous cyst in maxillary sinus in radiology clinic at Ceara Federal University. Material and Methods: To this study conduction, were analyzed 1996 panoramic radiographs from a digital file obtained between April 2011 to April 2013 Results:. Aspects as gender, affected side and teeth absence next to the cyst in the respective quadrant were evaluated.It was observed in the sample the occurrence of 45 patients with suggested images of mucous cysts in maxillary sinus,making a prevalence of 2,25%. From them, 26 (57,8%)were female and 19 (42,2%) were male. 48 maxillary sinuswere affected with the wound, from which28 (58,3%) it was in the left side and 20 (41,7%) in the right site. Three patients presented the wound in both sides, what represents 6,7% of the affected patients. From those 48 Mucous retention cyst, 40 (83,3%) were not related to an edentulous area in ipsilateral quadrant and 8 (16,7%) were shown next to an edentulous area. Conclusion: The conclusion was that the cyst of retention mucous in the maxillary sinus had prevalence in males and in the left side of the maxillary sinus. It was not found a relation between the cyst and the edentulous area
